The promotion and assurance of medical safety has two axes: improving the safety of medical technology and the safety of organizational systems. Improving the safety of medical technology requires more funds, efforts and advanced technology compared to organizational systems. For this reason, it is often difficult for an individual institution to solve the challenging issue of promoting the safety of medical technology.

Against this social background, the Research Institute of the Medical Safety Promotion Organization aims to conduct research and development on advancing safety of medical technology. By doing so, we will develop medical technology that is convenient and safe for everyone, and will contribute to the promotion of a culture of medical safety. For this purpose, we will also develop an international group of experts and professionals based on a cooperation triangle of industry, government and academia with interdisciplinary aspects.
