Prospectus for Endowed Courses
The purpose of the Endowed Course Division is to advance and enhance education and research at the Organization for the Medical Safety Promotion Organization. It is an education and research division established with funds donated by individuals or organizations to cover its basic expenses.
Basic expenses include "(1) Personnel and travel expenses of endowed courses" and "(2) Expenses necessary for research and education in the endowed chair, excluding those for buildings and large facilities".
The administrative officer of the Endowed Courses is a specially-appointed professor or specially-appointed associate professor.
Purpose of the Specially Appointed Professors
Specially Appointed Professors of the Corporation shall be Professors or Associate Professors.
The duties of a Specially Appointed Professor are to research and lecture on a specific research topic.
The Specially Appointed Professors will also be members of the MSPO Professors' Committee.
Specially Appointed Professors are employed for a fixed term of three years and may be reappointed.
Specially Appointed Professors will be recruited from a wide range of national and international experts outside of MSPO.
The MSPO board of directors will review applicants for suitability.
Selected applicants pay a certain amount of donation to the MSPO in advance.
(This research expense shall include the salary of the Specially Appointed Professor himself/herself.)
